Architect

Charlotte Li, Architect AIBC, M.Arch, BEDS, B.Sc.

Charlotte is inspired by design as an act of thoughtful stewardship, one that responds to the needs of the communities it serves and to the natural and built environments in which it lives. Guided by a commitment to design excellence, she approaches every project with intention and care, collaborating closely with local communities, clients, and interdisciplinary teams to realize shared visions from concept through construction.

A Registered Architect with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC), Charlotte holds a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design Studies from Dalhousie University, as well as a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia. With more than a decade of project experience, her work spans cultural and community gathering spaces, multi-unit residential developments, supportive housing, and shelter housing projects.

Before joining SLA in 2025, Charlotte was honoured to contribute to several community-focused housing initiatives supporting Vancouver’s urban Indigenous communities in the Downtown Eastside. Her earlier experience also includes contributions to landscape architecture and public realm projects.

Charlotte has served the AIBC as an oral examiner and as a mentor for the Internship in Architecture Program. She has also supported the City of Vancouver’s Chinatown Legacy Stewardship Group and was an instructor to budding young architects at Arts Umbrella.

Outside of the SLA studio, Charlotte shares her love of discovery and exploration with her family, lately, with many trips to Science World.
